The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching the inner depths of his heart (Proverbs 20:27). Who can hide the secrets of the heart from God? Whether it is putting an offering in the offering plate or serving the Lord some other way, the Lord knows the intents of our hearts. Abel offered his sacrifice with love unto God but Cain offered his sacrifice with contempt. God accepted Abel's sacrifice but Cain's He rejected. The Lord our God wants us to be cheerful givers and serve Him out of love for Him. The Lord is not pleased with the quantity of the things we offer Him but He is pleased with our faith and love for our Lord Jesus Christ. Serve the Lord with all your heart and by faith follow Him. Praise the Lord!
