"Truly I know it is so, but how can a man be righteous before God?" - Job 9 V2

"...There is none righteous, no, not one;" - Romans 3 V10

The Bible is very clear about righteousness of men and it teaches us that there is none righteous, no, not one. In other words, no matter how good someone may seem or how good we seem in our own eyes or the good works we do, all these do not count at all in the sight of God. Our religiousness (or piousness), or good works, or trying to be the nicest person, all these are like filthy rags to God. We cannot please God in our flesh and blood by doing something on our own and for this very reason God came down to close the gap and He offered His Son Jesus Christ as the sacrifice for the sins of men. By believing in the name of Jesus Christ and trusting our faith in Him alone we can please God. God sees the righteousness of His Son in us and He blots away all our sins and remembers them no more. It is only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ can we please God. Praise the Lord!

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
