"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." - Matthew 6 V24
"...You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come follow Me." - Luke 18 V22
Greed and lust for worldly things are natural characteristics of human beings. More is not enough and we lust for things we do not possess. We cannot serve God with this attitude and there needs to be a line drawn. We can either serve worldly pleasures or we can serve God but never both. We are only pretending to serve God when we say so and go after worldly things. Let us keep Christ as the focal point of our life and let Him be the Master of our mind, soul and body. Follow Christ and store you riches in heaven.
"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ
