The Temple Institute have revealed they are planning to make an important announcement in the coming days which they claim will 'shape our future'. Their advertisement declares that 'In just 6 days the future will begin. The future is in our hands. Be a part of it'. Unfortunately no indication has been given as to the nature of this news, leaving followers to speculate as to what exactly will be announced on July 12th...

Future is in our hands

That phrase, 'the future is in our hands', does seem to imply that it could have something to do with the Temple Mount and the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple. On June 7th 1967, when Israeli paratroopers ran toward the Western Wall to celebrate the liberation of Jerusalem after 2500 years of Gentile rule, the statement was made over the army radio, 'The Temple Mount is in our hands!'. Sadly it did not remain that way for long, and in just a few hours, Israeli Defence Minister Moshe Dayan handed control of the Temple Mount back to the Jordanian Waqf. Could this important news be something to do with the status of the Temple Mount?

Other recent news updates from the Temple Institute, and those associated with it, have been extremely interesting. Just a few weeks ago, Rabbi Yehuda Glick revealed that billions of dollars worth of gold could be buried under the Eilat mountains in the south, which could be used to finance the rebuilding of the Temple. Earlier in the year the Temple Institute also announced the completion of the Altar of Sacrifice, as well as the discovery of a new Red Heifer born in New Jersey. Jewish women have also been busy reconstructing the veil of the Temple. Could it be that a breakthrough has been made in regards to its reconstruction?

The date of this announcement could be significant too, coming exactly a week before Tisha B'Av (Sunday, July 26th). This is the anniversary of the destruction of both the First and Second Jewish Temples. Numerous tragedies have befallen the Jewish people on this date throughout history, for example, the disengagement from the Gaza Strip in 2005. Because of this fact, the Temple Institute do have a habit of making special announcements pertaining to the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple in or around this significant date.

Whatever the exact nature of this news is, there is no doubt we are living in tremendous times. With the blood moons coming to a close, this year being the Shmitah year, next year beginning the Jubilee, chaos continuing to unfold in the Middle East, the 'star of Bethlehem' reappearing for the first time in 2000 years, prominent Jewish rabbis making dramatic predictions of the coming of the Messiah after the sabbatical year, it couldn't be any more amazing than what we are already witnessing now. Surely the Lord's return must be near. It's as if He is making doubly sure, beyond a shadow of doubt, that people know His coming is at hand. Of course we can never know the exact day or hour of His coming, and we shouldn't try to guess it either, but the Lord did give us a sign so we would know when it was near…

Matthew 24:32-33
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

The budding of the fig tree does of course represent the restoration of the nation of Israel. The tiny nation of Israel is God's great super-sign, that the Bible is true and that God keeps His promises. We have witnessed the fulfilment of this prophecy in our own lifetimes. Although Christ's coming for His bride, the church, is not dependent on this event, His Second Coming cannot happen without it. For He is coming back to reign over the Jewish people, in the land of Israel, from the city of the Great King (Psalm 48:2, Luke 1:32).

Don't miss it. And don't dismiss it. Jesus Christ is coming back again. He came once to provide salvation for you. He bore God's penalty for your sins when He died upon the cross. After three days He arose from the dead, and before He went back to heaven, He promised that one day He would return to take all those who have trusted in Him for salvation to be with Him where He is (John 14:3). The question is, have your sins been forgiven? Have you trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation? Don't wait until it is too late. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation today!

Revelation 22:20
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
