"You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures." - James 4 V3
When we ask God, it is important that we ask Him the right things. Some things may seem very attractive to us and we ask God for it, only to find out we will not receive it. If you have been in this situation, when you felt your prayers were not answered then do not be discouraged but trust in the Lord. Our Lord knows and will always give us the things that are good for us. It is important that we seek His will and ask Him to lead us. Not all that glitters is gold and our Father in heaven knows the true gold that would benefit us. Praise the Lord that we have our Father in heaven, who cares for us.
