1st Kings 18:27-29
And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.

On August the 22nd, Blossom Goodchild - a 'direct voice channelling medium', made the startling prediction that an alien race calling themselves the Federation of Light was about to manifest their presence to mankind in such a way as to provide incontrovertible proof that we are not alone in the universe. The Federation of Light revealed to Blossom Goodchild that one of their ships would appear in the southern skies of our planet for 'three of our twenty-four hour periods', enabling the press to capture the UFO on camera for all the world to see. This dramatic event was to pave the way for full disclosure by world governments of the existence of extra-terrestrials and permit the Federation of Light to intervene on our behalf in order to save mankind from an unspecified time of great trouble ahead. The ship was to appear on the 14th of October, 2008 but until now there hasn't been so much as a whisper from the Federation of Light. Perhaps they have forgotten to disengage their cloaking device? Or maybe they took a wrong turn after passing Andromeda? Or perhaps they now believe Earth is a lost cause? We have yet to hear from Blossom Goodchild as to why the Federation of Light decided not to show up this time.

In reality Blossom's false prophecy reveals to us the startling truth, that the beings she is in contact with do not have the power to manifest themselves in this fashion any more than 'Baal' had the power to burn up the sacrifice that his prophets made upon the altar of stone. The prophets of Baal "prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice", but "there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded". Blossom Goodchild has predicted that her 'gods' would appear in the skies above Alabama to save the human race, but there is no sign of any UFO or Federation of Light. What I would say to Blossom Goodchild would be what Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, "the God that answers by fire, let Him be God", 1st Kings 18:24. The 'aliens' broke their promise. They haven't come to save you! They have let you down. But there is One who is coming to save us. He is the God that cannot lie (Titus 1:2). God promised at the beginning of creation that He would send One to deliver mankind from the curse (Genesis 3:15). Four thousand years passed, but He came. And His first coming is one of the most well established facts in history. So you can see, two thousand years is a comparatively short time to wait for His return. And that period of two thousand years is now coming to a close. Are you ready to meet Him? Turn away from your sins and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation today. Don't put your trust in aliens or men. Put your trust in Jesus Christ for salvation today. He is the only One that can be trusted, for He is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31). 

Australian actor and author Blossom Goodchild is claiming to have channelled information from extra-terrestrial beings about a supposed UFO sighting that is to take place on October of this year. According to Goodchild, a interstellar group calling themselves the 'Federation of Light' will cause a space craft to appear in the skies above Alabama on the 14th of October, where it will remain for at least a 72 hour period. Their intention is to provide undeniable proof that extra-terrestrials do exist. These beings claim that they come in peace, and that their only concern is for the future of mankind, and that is why they are revealing their existence to us now.

Quote: "TO LEADERS, GOVERNORS, POLITICIANS AND ALL PEOPLE OF EARTH... We wish it to be understood that on the 14th day of your month of October in the year 2008 a craft of great size shall be visible within your skies. It shall be in the south of your hemisphere and it shall scan over many of your states. We give to you the name of Alabama. It has been decided that we shall remain within your atmosphere for the minimum of three of your twenty four hour periods. During this time there will be much commotion upon your earth plane. Your highest authorities will be intruding into 'our' atmospherics that surround our ship. This 'security field' is necessary for us, as there shall take place a 'farce' from those in your world who shall try to deny that we come in LOVE. KNOW OF THIS WE COME TO ASSIST YOUR WORLD. WE DO NOT COME TO TAKE OVER. WE DO NOT COME TO DESTRUCT. WE COME TO GIVE YOU HOPE.

I have talked about Ufology and its connection to the occult and end time prophecy before. First of all, I don't know if any 'alien craft' will appear in southern skies of the United States on October 14th. But neither do I think that Blossom Goodchild is just making this up. I do believe this information has a source. The questions we must ask are, who is this source, and why is this information is being disclosed now? According to Blossom Goodchild's own internet blog, she is a medium and channeler of spirits...

Now concerning sources of spiritual information, there are only two kinds. The kind that is of God, and that kind that is demonic. And it is clear to see that this kind is definitely demonic, and on several counts. Firstly, the Bible expressly forbids the channelling of spirits (Deuteronomy 18:10-12), so we know immediately that the spirits which are in contact with Blossom are not of God. Demonic spirits can manifest to people in many different guises. Some take on the form of people who have died. Since demonic spirits can never die, they have been around for a long time and can remember people and places from hundreds of years ago. When people go to séances to contact to their departed relatives, they are not actually speaking to these relatives, but they are talking to imitating demons who were acquainted with their lives. For example, the familiar spirit that Blossom Goodchild contacts has taken on the form of a native American by the name of 'White Cloud', who probably was a real person at one time. Some spirits manifest themselves as extra-terrestrials, and this can be seen by the message Blossom Goodchild has received from the group calling themselves the Federation of Light. But although they manifest in different ways, the goal is always the same - to deceive.

Now I recently heard Jack Van Impe claim that there may be life on other planets. There is absolutely no Scriptural justification for claiming that there is life on other planets. What's more, I would be very concerned about Christians that claim this, because if an alien craft actually appeared in our skies, there is a good chance genuine Christians could be deceived into accepting the word of a demonic spirit! How do I know these extra-terrestrials are demonic spirits? We have just seen that the people that these beings chose to reveal themselves to are always involved in some way or other in the occult. We also know they are demonic spirits by the message they bring. Their message always has a New Age connection. The aliens are either trying to help mankind achieve the next step of spiritual enlightenment, or they are trying to preserve mankind from great calamities ahead. Look at their message...

First of all, they claim to be called the Federation of Light. Now that name ought to start alarm bells ringing in the ears of any Christian. For we know that the name Lucifer means 'Light bearer'. Paul also describes Satan as being "transformed into an angel of light" with the goal of deceiving people (2nd Corinthians 11:14-15), and says that it is no marvel then that his followers should also appear in such a manner. So now we have identified both the source of the message, and who the 'Federation of Light' are. Our next question is, why is this information being disclosed now? From Blossom Goodchild's message, we can deduct that mankind is about to enter into a period of great calamity, and the extra-terrestrial's intentions are to prepare us for this event.

Quote: "We are beings from other planets, who for many eons of your time have been preparing for these days ahead... If we do not intervene now... as has been planned for eons of your earth time... then we fear it would be too late.

The question is, how could these extra-terrestrials know what was going to take place on a remote planet in the universe, eons before it happens? An eon is "the longest division of geological time". And why did the extra-terrestrials bother to begin planning for this event such a long time ago? If we assume that these aliens are creatures more or less just like us, then it makes no sense at all. The only Person that could know this kind of information is God Himself. But as soon as we assume that these extra-terrestrials are demonic spirits, who are familiar with God's Word (Luke 4:9-11) and have been scheming man's downfall since the garden of Eden (Genesis 3), then it makes perfect sense. This is in fact a truthful statement the Federation of Light make, only their intervention is not for our benefit. And this fact is further verified by another of their statements...

This was the original lie that Satan told Eve in the garden, that God has purposely hidden the truth from us and that Satan now offers it to us. "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil", Genesis 3:4-5. And Satan has told the same lie throughout history, and does so because people keep believing it. But God has revealed the Truth to us, in the Person of Jesus Christ (John 14:6). Another statement by the Federation of Light gives the game away completely...

Quote: "WE... THE FEDERATION OF LIGHT... SIGN OFF, GIVING YOU ENCOURAGEMENT AND HOPE AS WE BEGIN THE ASCENSION INTO THE NEW WORLD.

This answers our question as to why this message is bring broadcast now. Satan knows that his time is short. Jesus Christ is coming back soon, first to the air for His Church. And then this world will enter a time of great calamity as God pours out His wrath upon the earth. Jesus Christ prophesied this fact eons ago...

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Satan knows that this is going to happen. But he doesn't want people to believe the Bible, and repent of their sins and turn to Jesus Christ for salvation. Satan wants people to believe that he and his demonic host of extra-terrestrials are here to preserve us through this time of trouble, and that a great spiritual awakening awaits us at the end of it all. It's a cover up, but the government isn't behind it. It's a satanic conspiracy. When millions of Christians 'disappear' into thin air, Satan will have the perfect answer for it all... they were beamed up by aliens...

God loves you so much that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to bear the punishment for your sins upon the cross (John 3:16). And all who believe on Him for salvation can have everlasting life. Jesus Christ is coming back again to take all who have trusted in Him to be with Him where He is (John 14:3). Dr Edgar Mitchell, former US astronaut and the sixth man to walk on the moon, has claimed that aliens do exist and that planet Earth is being visited by extra-terrestrial beings. He made the comments during an interview for Kerrang radio in the United Kingdom. Mitchell said that the Roswell incident, in which alien life forms were supposed to have been recovered from a downed spacecraft, was a real event, and was being covered up by the US government. He also claimed that the actual physiological appearance of these aliens are similar to those of the classic "little green men" usually portrayed in the films. He said that the aliens had technology that was much more advanced than our own, and that if the aliens had been hostile, the human race would have been gone long ago. His claims follow an increasing public awareness of the UFO phenomenon following the recent disclosure of information held by the British government. NASA released an official statement saying that the organization does not track UFOs and that there is no conspiracy to withhold such information from the public.

Quote: "Dr Mitchell said his position as an astronaut meant many high ranking intelligence and military personal had felt comfortable telling him their stories and "getting it off their chests" before they died. "(They) selected me and said, independently – this wasn't a group effort – independently that maybe I might be a safe person to tell their story to," he said. "And all of them confirmed, and what I'm saying is they confirmed the Roswell incident was a real incident and they in some way had some part in it that they wanted to talk about. "The crash of an alien spacecraft in the Roswell area was a real event and much of the lore, I can't say all of the lore, but much of the fact that dead bodies were recovered and live ones were recovered, that they were not of this world, was the story.”

Mitchell's background of having been involved in the US space programme would, on the surface, appear to add some weight to his beliefs. But it's Mitchell's involvement in the paranormal and the occult which seem to lie at the heart of this latest development. In his book, entitled, The Way of the Explorer, Mitchell recounts how he was involved in a private extra-sensory perception (telepathy) experiment during his return flight to earth from the moon.

Quote: "Mitchell tells how, while returning to earth, he carried out a private ESP experiment that seemed to yield positive results. Subsequently, he founded the Institute of Noetic Sciences, in order to test paranormal phenomena scientifically. We hear of Uri Geller's ability to bend spoons at a distance and of how Mitchell's own mother had her eyesight restored by American psychic Norbu Chen--until she realized that Chen was not a Christian and her near-blindness returned.

Mitchell himself also claims to have been cured of kidney cancer through a faith healer by the name of Adam Dreamhealer. Adam claims to be able to heal people from a distance through thought alone. The logo on Adam's website is extremely interesting, sporting the occult symbols of the Egyptian Eye of Ra and the Pyramid. Adam espouses New Age beliefs similar to those found in Buddhism and other eastern religions. Mitchell has also authored another book on the paranormal, entitled, Psychic Exploration: A Challenge for Science. The front cover states...

As you can see, wherever there is an acceptance of UFOs and extra-terrestrial intelligence, you will also find a close correlation to the occult and the New Age movement. It's all tied together because it all comes from the same source. That is why as Christians we need to be so careful when it comes to things like the Florida Outpouring. Spiritualist healing is real and has been practiced by eastern religions for thousands of years, and it can be practiced by people of any or no faith. When New Age and eastern philosophies start creeping into the Church, such as angels (spirit guides), healings, tongues, holy laughter, convulsions, slaying and drunkenness in the spirit (shaktipat and kundalini), we ought to be asking ourselves again and again, is this of God or is this of another spirit? And if it is not mentioned in the Bible, then we ought to start looking elsewhere to find out where this is coming from. Sad to say that many people, including members of my own family, are not discerning enough to do that. The Bible prophesied that in the last days, many Christians would give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons (1st Timothy 4:1). I believe we are now living in those days. Satan's master plan is coming together. I believe that Satan wants the nations of the world move towards 'full disclosure' on the UFO phenomenon in order to prepare the world for the event of the rapture of the Church. The counterfeit church is being set up to take its place. If Jesus Christ came for His Church tonight, would you go with Him? Or would you be left behind to face the wrath of Almighty God? The Truth IS out there, and He is coming back soon. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation today.

A Jesuit priest and astronomer at the Vatican Observatory has said he believes the existence of extra-terrestrial life is compatible with Roman Catholicism. Father Jose Gabriel Funes, who favours the 'big bang' model for the evolution of the universe, believes in the possibility that there could be life on other planets. He made the comments during an interview for the Vatican daily L'Osservatore Romano. Although Funes admits that to date there is no evidence to prove the existence of such life, he points to the expanse of the heavens and the creativity of God as reasons for believing in the possible existence of alien civilizations.

Quote: ""Just as there is a multiplicity of creatures over the earth, so there could be other beings, even intelligent, created by God. This is not in contradiction with our faith, because we cannot establish limits to God's creative freedom," he told the newspaper. "To say it with St. Francis, if we can consider some earthly creatures as 'brothers' or 'sisters,' why could we not speak of a 'brother alien'? He would also belong to the creation," he said. "Fr. Funes says that taking the image of the lost sheep in the Gospel, 'we could think that in this universe there can be 100 sheep, equivalent to different kinds of creatures. We, belonging to human kind could be precisely the lost sheep, the sinners that need the shepherd. God became man in Jesus to save us. In that way, assuming that there would be other intelligent beings, we could not say that they need redemption . They could have remained in full friendship with the Creator,'" Catholic News Agency quoted him saying.

In other related news, Britain's Ministry of Defence has just released its first batch of reports detailing alleged UFO sightings in the UK. Last year the government made the decision to open up Britain's national archives, following increasing public interest in the UFO phenomenon. Several years ago, Britain passed the Freedom of Information act into law, allowing any British citizen access to information held by the government. The Ministry of Defence has been swamped with requests for information on alleged UFO sightings in this country, and this is part of the reason for the public disclosure of these files. Several other European countries have already made similar disclosures. When France published their national archives on UFO related phenomenon last year, they received around  around 220,000 visitors to their website on the first day, causing their servers to crash. Details of one incident released today by the British government records a bizarre encounter that occurred on the 9th of April, 1984 at an airfield in the east of England...

Quote: "The men, each with more than eight years on the job, described how they were helping guide a small plane to a landing on runway 22 when they were distracted by a brightly lit object approaching a different runway without clearance. "Everyone became aware that the object was unidentified," their report said. "SATCO (code name for a controller with 14 years experience) reports that the object came in 'at speed,' made a touch and go on runway 27, then departed at 'terrific speed' in a 'near vertical' climb." The incident is one of the more credible in the newly public files because it was reported by air traffic controllers, said David Clarke, a UFO expert who worked with the National Archives on the document release. "They were absolutely astonished," he said. "It was a bright, circular object, flashing different colors, and after it touched down it disappeared at fantastic speed. The report comes from very qualified people, and it's one of the few that remained unexplained."

Despite investigating many such incidents, government officials still haven't one shred of evidence to suggest that these craft actually originate from other planets. In fact some UFO experts who have studied such sightings for many years believe the theory that UFOs are flown by aliens from other planets is a practical impossibility. The distances involved are too vast for manned flight. And if you could travel at the speed of light, it would take four years just to reach the nearest star, and even then the energy required to make such a journey would be out of this world. And if your ship collided with a micrometeorite at such speeds, you could be instantly vapourised. But UFO experts believe these unidentified flying objects are real and may come from the locality of earth, from another dimension.

Allen Hynek who until his death, was the world's leading authority on UFOs eventually abandoned the idea that these craft were of a tangible quality as we would understand it, calling it "the nuts and bolts theory". In 1976 he said: "There are just too many things going against this theory. To me, it seems ridiculous that super intelligence would travel great distances to do relatively stupid things like stop cars, collect soil samples, and frighten people." (Jacques Vallee, Revelations, p. 290). After 30 years of serious UFO research, Hynek finally adopted the theory that UFOs are from another dimension, or a parallel reality (Bob Larson, UFOs and the Alien Agenda, p. 93).

The Bible makes no mention of life existing on other planets, and in fact suggests that the earth is unique, in that it is the only planet in the universe that is capable of supporting life. Funes believes that the 'big bang' theory best describes how the universe came about. In other words, he is a theistic evolutionist. He believes that God somehow used the process of evolution to bring the world into being. Look at his statement about considering some other 'earthly creatures' as our brothers and sisters. Supposedly he is referring to chimpanzees or apes. Had God known about the theory of evolution, perhaps He would have used it. But the idea of evolution wasn't invented until the Greek civilization was born... Only joking! God could never have used evolution to create the world, and there are many reasons for that. But I will concentrate on the Scriptures which reveal to us earth's special place in God's creation...

• The earth was created at the beginning of time (Genesis 1:1), three days before the stars were made (Genesis 1:16). Thus the earth is at the very centre of God's creation. Two whole chapters of Genesis are devoted to describing the creation of the earth, while only four words in the English translation is all that is said in regards to the creation of the heavens.
• Mankind was given authority over the earth (Genesis 1:26). He was not given dominion over the moon, nor outer space. The moon was created to give light upon the earth, and to mark the passage of time and events on God's calendar (Genesis 1:14). It was not given to be used as a base for mankind, and this might be the reason why nobody has been back to the moon for the past 30 years.
• Nobody has ever died in space. Astronauts have been killed going into space or coming down from space, but nobody has been lost in space. When the day of judgement comes, the Bible records that death and hell will give up their dead, and the sea will give up its dead. No mention is made of other planets or outer space giving up their dead.
• God created the earth to be inhabited (Isaiah 45:18). This is not recorded of any of the other planet. Earth is unique in that it is at just the right distance from the sun where water, which is essential for life, can exist in a liquid form.
• Psalms 115:16 declares that the heavens belong to God, but He has given the earth to the children of men.
• Psalm 19:1 states that the heavens were created to declare the glory of God.

I'm sure there are many other verses in the Bible which indicate that the earth is unique in the universe. But that doesn't mean to say that we are alone. The Bible indicates that the heavens are the present abode of the angelic host. Ephesians 2:2 describes Satan as the "prince of the power of the air". Ephesians 6:12 states that Christians are in a spiritual war against demonic powers in heavenly places. And Revelation 12:7 says that during the tribulation period, there will be a war in heaven between the angels that follow God and those that followed Satan. The Bible confirms that there is life in outer space, and that there is plenty of it. 

When I interpret the world around me according to the Scriptures, things start to make sense. When I hear of mysterious objects appearing out of other dimensions, it makes sense. For the Bible declares that there is an extra-terrestrial civilization that is at war with God's creation. And this extra-terrestrial civilization exists primarily in another dimension, a spiritual dimension that human eyes cannot see. In Elijah's day, the angels of God were seen by men to be using horses and chariots of fire (2nd Kings 2:11, 6:17). That was the main method of transportation men used in those days. If an angel of God were to appear to a man today, would he still appear in a chariot so as not to frighten us? Or would he appear in something more modern? Probably he would appear in something akin to an airplane or spacecraft, for we have an understanding of these things now.

And when I hear of the message that these extra-terrestrials are bringing mankind, it makes sense. Those who have had the unfortunate experience of coming into contact with these beings report that they are all conveying exactly the same message. Apparently they are all concerned with mankind's future on this planet. The question is, why would extra-terrestrials go to the bother of travelling billions of light years just to convey a message that various Eastern religions have taught for hundreds of years? When I understand who these beings are, then it makes perfect sense. According to the New Age movement, these beings are conveying the message that the earth must soon go through a time of great trouble...

Do you recognize the above scenario? You should. For this is exactly what the Bible states will come to pass in the not too distant future. Albeit there is an added demonic twist. It is often said that deceit is a lie wrapped up in the truth. When Satan tempted Eve with the forbidden fruit, he said, "your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil", Genesis 3:5. That was the truth. After they disobeyed God, their eyes were opened, and they became like gods knowing good and evil. But the lie was, "ye shall not surely die", Genesis 3:4. In the above scenario, Satan presents the truth of the rapture and the tribulation period. These things will occur just like the above paragraph states. Christ will come for His Bride, and following this great time of trouble, we will return with Christ to establish God's kingdom on earth (Daniel 2:44). But the lie here is the omission of judgement. There is no mention of the need for repentance, of the need to have our sins forgiven, or that we can escape this period of judgement that will come upon all the earth (Luke 21:34-36). And here, the extra-terrestrials are presented as mankind's saviour, not God nor Jesus Christ. We know according to the Bible that Satan is the head of these extra-terrestrials (Revelation 12:9), he was the one who sought to overthrow God's throne (Isaiah 14), and he will demand that the whole world worship him as God (2nd Thessalonians 2:4). Clearly the above scenario has been inspired by Satan to deceive those who will be caught up in the tribulation period. It's horrific just thinking about all of this, the depths of Satan, and the suffering that awaits those who have not trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation. I hope and pray that there will be people reading this who will heed the warning before it is too late. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31).
