"But now, O Lord, You are our Father; We are the clay and You are the potter; And all we are the work of Your hand." - Isaiah 64 V8

"and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants." - Luke 15 V19

After wasting away all his father's wealth on worthless living, the prodigal son soon realizes that the servants at his father's house have more to eat than what he has, and he makes a decision to return to his father and serve his father like one of his father's servant. We were all once like the prodigal son and we had to make our personal decision to reconcile with our Father in heaven through Jesus Christ our Lord. Sooner or later every person has to make a choice and accept God's love through His Son Jesus Christ or reject His love. It is better to say to our Father in heaven "Make me" than to say "Give me". Blessed are those who inherit the kingdom of God! Let Him be our potter and we be His clay, according to His will.

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

"Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord." - Psalm 31 V24

"I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry." - Psalm 40 V1

We all expect our prayers to be answered right away and our Lord answers our prayers in His time. Sometimes it may be immediately and other times it may take a while and also few times we may get an answer to our prayers but not the way we expect it to be. Those who wait patiently and hope in the Lord shall renew their strength and God shall never forsake those who trust in Him. We may have a narrow perspective of things we seek but God sees everything and from every direction and He knows what is best and when it will be best. Be of good courage, keep up your faith and continue to hope in the Lord. He will surely answer our prayers in His time.

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ

Abraham Or Lot? PDF Print E-mail

"Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other." - Genesis 13 V11

"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - Matthew 6 V21

Things of this world may look attractive and entice our heart but it is a short lived joy. When Abraham and Lot separated, Lot made a choice and chose the land which looked greener and prosperous and we all know the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah. The choices we make reveals the desires of our heart and unless we seek the will of God, our choices can very well meet the same fate as Lot's. Let us think and act from a heavenly perspective and glory on things that are yet to come and the things that will live on for eternity.

"That whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." - John 3 V15

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5 V8

Christ died for me and for you. He died and rose from the grave and all who believe in His name get eternal life in His kingdom. We may see the world debating over who killed Christ, whether it were the Jews or the Romans but the fact is that Christ willingly chose to die and it was my sins and your sins that crucified Christ as a living sacrifice. If you have never known Christ or have never accepted Him as your Lord and Saviour, then today is the day. Accept the Saviour in your heart, who loved us and died for us.

"Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." - 1 Corinthians 6 V18

"Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." - 2 Timothy 2 V22

Flee temptations for it is a tool of the devil and he uses it to deceive men. We in our entirety belong to Christ and so let our Lord use us for His glory. It is better not to get into situations that leads to temptation. Pray to God for He is the source of our help in all situations. Remember, Christ knows our feelings for He too was tempted and He stood victorious. Pray to Christ and He will keep all who call upon Him from falling into temptation.

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work." - Jesus Christ
