" - Luke 16 V27, 28 "to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me." - Acts 26 V18 Most people know the story of Lazarus and the rich man, and how the rich man pleaded father Abraham to send the message of truth to his family. Today, we do not have the dead come to us to to warn us about the realities of hell, but we have the message of the Gospel of Christ that warns us of the coming judgment of God and the only hope we have through Jesus Christ. The message of salvation through Jesus Christ is perhaps the most important message that people need to hear, and being followers of Christ, we have been commanded by Christ to preach this message to the world and open their eyes. "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." - Matthew 12 V40 "...Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand." - Revelation 22 V10 Christ Himself was the last sign given to us by God and Jesus Christ died, was buried, and the third day rose again from the dead and today He lives and reigns at the right hand of the Father. Apostle John was asked to open the book of prophecy and reveal to the world the plans of God and today the Word of God is open and being preached to all the world. The time is at hand and the mystery has been revealed. The evidence we have is sufficient and the world does not need any more signs to convince them that Christ is the Lord and Saviour of mankind. Do not delay your decision, if you have not known Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Accept His grace today. "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." - Psalm 51 V11 "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." - Ezekiel 36 V26 A humble heart will quickly realize the need of a clean heart and a new spirit and only God can put a clean heart and a new spirit in us. Due to our sinful nature we all need a clean heart and only Christ can take our filthy heart and give us a clean heart, washed in His blood. Have you asked God for a clean heart and a new spirit? "Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you." - Isaiah 49 V15 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep." - John 10 V11 Did you know that you are very special in the sight of God? Yes, too special than you can even imagine and that's the kind of place God has given us in His heart. We are so dear to Him more than a child to it's mother. He loved us so much that He laid His life for us. What more can one expect from a friend? Do not forsake the great love and the relationship that God has extended to us. "for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in." - Matthew 25 V35 "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." - James 1V22 Let us put our faith into practice. Jesus cared and loved all the poor and needy who came to Him. Not one who came to Jesus was rejected. This thanksgiving, let us think about our needy brethren and help those who are in need. Let us display the love of Christ through our actions for actions speak louder than words. Thank God for all His blessings and His goodness in our life. Praise God!
