I received this email from Helen's sister in England. Helen has been given the all clear to come home, and the hospital are making travel arrangements. She is still in need of much prayer, as South Africa to Northern Ireland is long distance to travel, especially for someone in Helen's condition. Thank you for all your prayers. 2nd Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. Hi Chris
I spoke to mum on Monday and Helen was meant to be coming home on Tuesday but had not had the all clear from the doctors in Jo'burg. She had a scan on Tuesday and has been pronounced fit to fly so they are waiting to get her on a flight. Mum thinks it will be this week. They are flying Joburg to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to Dublin and then ambulance up from Dublin to hospital in Belfast, probably either the City or the Ulster. They have to remove 7 rows of seats on the plane to get the stretcher in which is why they have to come back by such a strange route. It will be mum, Helen and 2 nurses making the trip. Mum said she will be in touch when they get back to NI so you should hear something very soon.
Thanks for all your help and prayers

I have uploaded the audio of the meeting we had last Friday night in Donaghadee. Shalom Messianic Fellowship are a group of Gentile and Jewish believers in Yeshua, who recognize their Jewish roots and seek to witness to others about the soon coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. We gather twice a month in the community hall in Donaghadee, Northern Ireland. Friday night's message was on the subject of prayer, and the speaker is Jim Clint. This audio file is 10 megabytes in size, and is in Windows Media format. If anyone would prefer MP3, let me know. |

I have installed a new module on the website which will enable you to share the articles with others through bookmarking websites such as Digg, del.icio.us, Reddit, etc. These are visible at the right hand side of each article. Clicking on the title of an article will reveal other popular bookmarking sites at the bottom of the page. If you click on a little bookmarking picture, it will submit the article to that particular website. I haven't really used bookmarking websites before, but for those who have, it may be a helpful tool for spreading the Gospel and proclaiming the Lord's return. I am having a little difficulty adjusting the font size, it keeps going really big before adjusting to the proper size. I am working on this issue. |

I've just received this email from Helen's mum Enid in Johannesburg. Praise God that Helen is now doing much better. The Lord answers prayer. Continue to remember Helen, her mum, the others involved in the accident and Kalene Mission Hospital in prayer...
Dear Chris Just an update letting you know Helen's condition. She remains in ICU in a stable condition having had surgery to her face yesterday and hip and pelvic surgery the day before. She has many cuts and bruises but all these will heal. She is much better today and is improving daily. She is starting to get cheeky and bored so must be on the mend. I would like to thank you all for your prayers and support. It is only the prayers of the Lord's people that has brought her through. It was potentially life threatening but the hospital here is fantastic. At this stage she does not need any further surgery so we have a possible 5-6 week recovery period here before she would be fit enough to travel. Give my regards to everyone. Much love Enid. This email from Helen's sister Lorraine... The hospital address is- Milpark Hospital 9 Guild Road Parktown West PO Box 91155 Auckland Park 2006 Johannesburg South Africa
It is apparently one of the best private hospitals in Johannesburg, according to a South African colleague of mine.
Latest news is that Helen has had some of the lines taken out and is hoping to be out of intensive care in the next few days. She is making excellent progress but recovery will be slow. She had surgery on Monday to repair both broken hips and her pelvis and had some work done on her face to underpin the bones. She is sitting up in bed and feeling a bit better in herself. Lorraine |
