In my country you can be fined up to £500 if you let your dog defecate on the pavement and refuse to lift it, yet it seems if you interrupt four men doing the equivalent, it can cost you £1000. According to this article, had the group been heterosexual, the firemen still would have been disciplined despite uncovering what is constituted a public offence. Had that been the case though, I doubt that they would have been sent to attend an "equality course". Perhaps the fire department fears a lengthy legal battle if they are seen to be tolerant of homophobia, even if the accusations are false. There is a big difference between "homophobia" and the Biblical view of homosexuality. Homophobia is an irrational fear of homosexuals because of their different sexual orientation. The Bible holds no fear for homosexuals, rather it simply states that homosexuality is sin in God's eyes. Unfortunately the government doesn't see it that way, and sometimes law-abiding Christians who adhere to God's moral law are branded as homophobes. Christians don't hate homosexuals, but we do believe homosexuality is morally wrong and a sign of the days we are living in. The Lord gave two examples of what we could expect world conditions to be like during the last days... the days of Noah, and the days of Lot...

Luke 17:26-30 
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

The days of Noah were characterized by violence (Genesis 6:11), while the days of Lot were characterized by rampant homosexuality and fornication (Jude 1:7). It's interesting that in the days of Noah, the Lord mentions that they were giving and taking in marriage, whereas in the days of Lot, there is no mention made of marriage. This world has changed dramatically within the past 30 years, becoming increasingly filled with violence and immorality. And within the past five years or so we have witnessed the rise of homosexuality, with governments around the world legalizing homosexual unions and prohibiting discrimination against it. I think if it was ever possible to say that it was like the days of Noah and the days of Lot, surely it would be now. Even so come, Lord Jesus.

While talking with my dear friend Judy from San Francisco, she happened to mention a homosexual parade which will be taking place in her city tomorrow. Judy said the parade had a certain theme - the last supper, and wondered why they didn't use an Islamic theme for the festival, or perhaps they were afraid of what the Muslims would do to them when they caught them. But I didn't twig on to what she was talking about until I came across this article on WorldNetDaily today. The Folsom Street Fair is an annual homosexual event, which is being sponsored this year by Miller Brewing Company. As gay pride parades go, the Folsom Street Fair features your standard homosexual, exposing themselves and committing sexual acts in full view of the public...

So what's new then? Christians in the US are up in arms after a poster was published advertising the event, featuring homosexuals and lesbians posing as Jesus Christ and the twelve disciples at the last supper. US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has come under fire for refusing to condemn the poster, which is a studied insult to Christians living in San Francisco...

As the WorldNetDaily article points out, Christians are often lambasted by homosexual activists for being intolerant bigots, while if you are homosexual it seems you have a special licence from the government to slander law-abiding Christians. But when homosexuals start to blaspheme God, then it becomes obvious who is really behind all of this. Christians aren't really the target here, although we may feel angry at their mockery of God. The real target is Jesus Christ...

John 15:18-19

This is how we can have peace in the midst of all this debauchery. I didn't intend for this article to end up this way, I was angry at what these homosexuals are doing. I was going to quote verses about Sodom and Gomorrah, and comment on how it was in the days of Lot. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal (fleshly), but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2nd Corinthians 10:4). How do we get back at Satan for mocking God? By going out and preaching the Gospel to all who will hear (Mark 16:15), by supporting missionaries who are serving the Lord in distant lands, by praying that the Lord would send forth labourers into His harvest (Matthew 9:37-38). The Word of God is the weapon that is mighty to pull down strongholds. That's why it is called the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). That is why the Gospel is called the power (literally "dynamite") of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16). Praise God that He has equipped us with such a powerful weapon, and I hope that He enables me to use it for His glory.

Leaders of the Episcopalian Church are working feverishly to prevent a split over the denomination's ordination of homosexual bishops. The denomination has been told it must agree not to appoint another openly gay leader by September 30th, or the communion between the Episcopalian and Anglican Churches would be severed. The denomination was the first to consecrate an openly homosexual bishop in 2003. The Episcopal Church is one of the most liberal in the Anglican body, recently appointing a woman to head the denomination... a woman who believes that God created homosexuality and has prayed to Jesus Christ as a feminine God. Last year the Episcopalian conference voted against a resolution declaring that Jesus Christ was the only name whereby we can be saved. "Jezebel" Schori admitted herself that "if we insist that we know the one way to God, we've put God in a very small box". Even a babe in Christ knows there is only one way to God, "I am the way... no man cometh unto the Father but by Me", John 14:6. Unfortunately Schori isn't the only one who is denying the Lord that bought them (2nd Peter 2:1). Another is Pastor Joel Osteen, who has stated on television that he doesn't know if devout atheists are going to heaven or not. My people perish for lack of knowledge! But what irritates me most about this article is the way the homosexual issue is being portrayed. With the abortion issue, those who are in favour of it are called "pro-choice"... the right for a woman to chose whether her child lives or not. It puts a nice gloss on the brutal practice of abortion. Those who are in favour of life are called "pro-life" or more often than not, "anti-abortionists" by the mainstream media. Even in this article we have a similar theme, with those who are in favour of a more liberal approach to God's laws portrayed as benevolent, tolerant people...

I've never heard so much claptrap in all my life. I know where they are coming from though, for homosexual "Christians" believe that because Christ never publicly opposed homosexuality, that He must have been condoning it. The Lord Jesus Christ was a Jew, and adhered strictly to the spirit of the law of Moses. The Lord Himself stated that He had not come to destroy the law and the prophets, but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17), and the T'Nach states that homosexuality is an abomination in God's eyes (Leviticus 18:22). Now before I am accused of bigotry, it also condemns a lot of other things, including fornication and adultery. And although the Lord forgave the woman caught in the act of adultery, He gave her a command, "go and sin no more", John 8:11. Homosexual "Christians" will say that homosexuality was not Sodom's main sin, rather it was pride, idleness and fullness of bread (Ezekiel 16:49). But this verse speaks of Israel, not Sodom. Sodom's sin is mentioned in the book of Jude...

Jude 1:6-7
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

And then we have the passages in Romans 1 and 2, which are perhaps the most descript in dealing with homosexuality. Homosexual "Christians" emphasizing teaching on justice and tolerance! They don't know the meaning of the words. If we had true justice, we would all be in hell right now. And Jesus Christ had compassion on people, but He never tolerated sin in any shape or form. Praise God that Jesus Christ was willing to give His life as sacrifice for our sins, but I fear that the Western Church is in danger of being spewed out of His mouth for its toleration of this Jezebel spirit.

Revelation 2:20-22
Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

I don't like commenting on homosexual issues a whole lot. Not because I don't believe it is wrong, and not because I don't believe this is an important issue. But there are some sites that are so wrapped up in this issue that they seem to have become judgemental in their attitude. I believe we do need to stand up for our freedoms and for the Word of God. But I believe it is not our job to do the work of the Holy Spirit...

John 16:7-8

...and to me it is more important to proclaim the Gospel than it is to tell people how to live their lives. People know their own sin better than I do, and when they hear the truth they will be able to recognize what is false. So I don't like commenting on homosexual articles just for the sake of it, but only when the Lord gives me a burden to write about a certain article. And this is one of them. A lesbian "couple" in Australia are suing their doctors over the birth of two healthy baby girls. One of the women (presumably the "wife") had undergone IVF treatment in order to give birth to a single child. But doctors implanted two embryos into the woman's womb, and two children were born. The women say the stress of raising two girls has put them under undue strain, and are suing their doctors to the tune of $400,000 Australian dollars.

Not only for two lesbians to undergo IVF treatment to have a child, which could not be produced by natural means. Not only to have two healthy children, something which is denied many heterosexual couples. But to demand a single child, and to sue their doctors when two are born? It just boggles my mind, the callousness of some people. These people ought to be exiled to Zambia, and then they would know what stress is... when your only worldly possessions are the clothes on your back and a few pots and pans, and you are blessed if your children live... Life is cheap. And it's not just lesbians, around one million children are aborted in the United States each year. To put that in perspective, that is the equivalent of a September 11th attack every day of the year. And people say God will not judge America? And the United Kingdom isn't much better either. What this article shows us is that the days prophesied in the New Testament are now upon us, when men and women will be without natural affection.

2nd Timothy 3:1-5 
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Praise God that He is going to judge this world for its wickedness, and will set everything in order when He comes. But in the meantime, we need to be living epistles, read of all men (2nd Corinthians 3:2). Our lives bear testament to what we believe, and although we may not realize it at times, others do see a difference in us. That is why it is important to walk circumspectly before others. Perhaps the only Christians your unsaved friend may know is some judgemental Christian who finds fault in everybody else, or says one thing and does another. Believe me I've known some, sad to say, even in my own assembly. Maybe by your right living and humble attitude, your friend will see that Christ is real and that they too can have their sins forgiven. That is why I think it is important to preach the Gospel, without being condescending to others... not excusing their sins but showing them grace which much more abounds (Romans 5:20). I myself feel that if there was anything more I could do for this site in being a witness for God, I would do it. But the Lord has not called me to be a preacher, and He has not called me to speak to any great congregation. All the Lord calls us to be is faithful to Him, and I guess if we owe Him anything it is that.

Ephesians 5:15-17
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

I don't like having to comment a lot on these kind of articles as it is very negative and very depressing. But if we are to be true to the Scriptures, even concerning end time prophecy, I guess we must address the decline in morality. Even when those who are supporting it are sitting in government. The Church of England has voiced its concern over new legislation being brought in which could result in a church being sued for teaching that homosexuality is a sinful lifestyle. In January of this year, the Labour government passed legislation in Northern Ireland making it illegal to discriminate against people of a different sexual persuasion. It has become a criminal offence to withhold goods and services from people based on their sexuality. This has put many Christian businesses in jeopardy by giving homosexual activists a legal right to receive services from people who hold a moral objection to their lifestyle. For example, a gay "couple" in Florida is taking legal action against a Church that refused to grant them a licence to get "married" on their property. Catholic adoption agencies in the UK are having to close down, rather than being faced with the horrendous situation of having to place a orphan with a homosexual "couple". And recently a homosexual "Christian" successfully sued the Church of England after he was refused a job as a youth pastor on the grounds of his promiscuous lifestyle.

Had someone said a few years ago that homosexual "marriage" would be legal, they would have been laughed at. Today not only is it legal, but the government is moving to stifle criticism of the practice which many Christians believe is immoral, unhealthy and will lead to the eventual collapse of British society. A friend emailed me a while back on this subject, telling me he was pressed into becoming a homosexual by his peers. Thankfully the Lord delivered him out of that situation. He said that throughout the sixties and seventies, homosexual activists were propelling their people into positions of high authority. It's no surprise then, that many in our academia and government are either homosexual themselves, or are sympathetic towards it. Now I'm not a bigot and God loves homosexuals just as He does all sinners, but I find it hard to understand how a government can draft laws that go against the moral conscience of a majority of its citizens.

Isaiah 10:1-3
Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless! And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory? 

And it's not only the British government doing it, many governments across the world are seeking to legalize homosexual "marriage", destroying one of the pillars of modern society - the family, and turning God's order of creation on its head. Where will the madness end? We are told in the Scriptures that it won't, at least not until the Lord comes. The Bible states that when the Antichrist comes to power, that he shall seek to change times and laws...

Daniel 7:25
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

We are not told what these laws are, but due to the nature of the beast - no pun intended, we can only presume that they will be in complete contrast to God's Holy Law. Those tribulation saints who stand for Christ during this period of persecution will have a time of it. But the Lord will intervene, and this beast which has sought to pervert God's truth will be cast into the lake of fire. In spite this present doom and gloom, there is still hope, for Lord Jesus is the One who has been appointed to judge the world in righteousness.

Acts 17:30-31
And the times of this ignorance God winked at (overlooked); but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
