Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told a powerful parliamentary panel on Monday that Israel rejects "no options" to block Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, a meeting participant said. The statement was the Israeli leader's clearest indication yet that he is willing to use military force against Iran. "Israel clearly will not reconcile itself to a nuclear Iran," the meeting participant quoted Olmert as telling the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. "All options that prevent Iran from gaining nuclear capabilities are legitimate within the context of how to grapple with this matter."

Just recently I was enjoying a very detailed book called "Armageddon", from the leading Christian author in Finland, Pekka Sartola. For decades already Pekka has been studying the Bible prophecies and the end time events. In my opinion, he has also found the correct locations for the hosts of Gog against Israel (Eze. 38:1-7).

Gog himself is the war lord of Russia, originally from the land of Magog (the area, where Islamic Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan ja Tajikistan are located today). Rosh is Russia (and possibly some other previous Soviets), Meshech is from Turkey, and Tubal - or Tabal/Tibaren, also in Turkey. Persia, Iran, is with Gog, Ethiopia, too (but not the one we know today, but Sudan, g’buwl Kuwsh). Puwt, Libues of Septuagint, that is Libya, is amongst those hosts. Gomer (the Gamirs from East-Turkey) and all his hosts, Togarmah (Tagarma/Takarama, that too part of today's Turkey) as well, are there. "Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself" (Eze. 38:7) - and that's exactly what Russia is doing this very minute - "thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them."

But what would Russia have to do with Islam? Firstly, today there are new winds in the religiosity of Russia: fifteen years ago, less than 1 percent of Moscow was populated by Muslims. Now, up to 20 percent of the population may already be Muslim.

But there's a stronger tie. In his book, "Planet Earth, the Final Chapter", Hal Lindsey mentions a fact that cannot be underestimated. After the falling of the Soviet Union, the southern republics with Muslim majority started searching for the spiritual content, also, finding fundamental Islam as a medicine. To keep these previous allies "in line" - especially Kazakhstan (being one of the major nuclear powers) - they had to call the Muslim grandfather, Ajatollah in Tehran, for help. Mutual understanding in friendship was achieved, and in February 1991, the following terms were agreed upon:

- Russia provides for Iran their nuclear weapon knowledge, and Iran in turn keeps the Soviet Moslems silent in their power wants

- If the West attacks against Iran, Russia will stand by Iran's side

- Iran won't butt out in Russia's own, internal affairs - even if former Soviet Muslims were in question (cf. The genocides in Chechnya)

Thus, we should keep an eye on whatever ties between Russia and Iran materialize. But how about the "Holy Land"?

If you look at Israel - just at the moment - could you consider one minute, that in this situation, Olmert having said that one above, they would ever go to a following standby: "Arise, get you up unto the wealthy nation, that dwelleth without care, saith the LORD, which have neither gates nor bars, which dwell alone." (Jer. 49:31).

Never. Something "big" has to happen first. But maybe that "big" is not Israel becoming a part of the European Union, which a full 75 percent of Israelis would like.

Maybe there's something totally else ahead. I have been discussing with Pekka Sartola about another issue, too. Not too many commentators than Pekka (none I know) have stressed, that amongst the hosts of Gog, described by Ezekiah, are NONE OF THE CLOSE NEIGHBOURS OF ISRAEL TODAY!!!

What if all these signs in nature, Bush now in the Middle-East, bullying Iran but doing what? (I nearly smell him saying "you do that!") and every smooth move to divide the Land promised to the Jews, are signs of the change to come?

Now after Annapolis, when Israel was left alone with Iran - how about if Israel really acts, like they did in Osirak, Iraq!? And due to that attack Israel becomes the wealthiest oilnation of the entire world, God willing!?

Would that be of some "hooks into Gog's jaws"? And what would the world assuredly do then?

Immediately they would send their best possible negotiator, Javier Solana, to discuss peace with this new oil prince of power: permission to build the New Temple would be given without question, no one would listen Islam anymore - whose forces would have been beaten badly anyway - and even such kind of a "roadmap" -package could be invented, where the whole world would grant Israel a strong covenant, so that this unimaginable thing - Israel dismantling her guns & military might, radically - would be most natural a situation. The entire "New World Order" would downright love and adore Israel, and all the discordant notes would be dimmed immediately...

Maybe a daydream, fiction at its best - or "things which must shortly come to pass" (Rev. 1:1)?

Whatever the case, dear reader, have you already obeyed the command: "Be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord" (Acts 22:16), and do you already "wait for his Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come"? (1 Thess. 1:10)

If not, "now why tarriest thou?" The wrath is assuredly to come, but the Lord will take His Bride, the church - all the true believers in Christ Jesus - to His Father's House, first. Are you ready to go?

Dead souls: The Pentagon plan to create remorseless 'warfighters' PDF Print E-mail

Chris' recent article gave a lot of thoughts. Yes indeed, for the public, why should it matter in the least whether when criminals, getting what they have deserved, would be chipped for security? Quoting Chris: "Britain already has a system whereby offenders can be electronically tagged and placed under police curfew, rather than being sent to into prison." Well, do you see what I see: "Yes, you, dear citizen, can do even crimes and get away with them, if you just let us monitor, what you do" ... If even the prisoners can be released and take the chipping as their "penalty", then with what name or which sentence would you call the chipping of ordinary people?

And, Chris, will it get any worse than this: Verichip really chipped the dead after the Asian Tsunami - not even death could keep those people away from chipping. But, as has been the case for some years now, VeriChip wants to chip every US soldier, too.

That leads me to other plans for soldiers. Penny Coleman is the widow of a Vietnam veteran who took his own life after coming home. Her latest book, "Flashback: Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Suicide and the Lessons of War" gives frightening pictures: "Pentagon, Big Pharma: Drug Troops to Numb Them to Horrors of War": The Department of Defence is flirting with the idea of medicating soldiers to desensitize them to combat trauma -- will an army of unfeeling monsters result?

But as we'll see here, this attempt to peddle magic pills to chase away the horrors of war is just one front in a long-term, wide-ranging "warfighter enhancement program" -- including the neurological and genetic re-engineering of soldiers' minds and bodies to create what the Pentagon calls "iron bodied and iron willed personnel": tireless, relentless, remorseless, unstoppable.

But it is not the first time drugs are being used to "anti-relax" troops in front of an attack. The following genocide is such a horrible story altogether and maybe the public knows not all the details (and it surely not needs to know). But what is certain - and also has been confirmed, too - is that before this monstrous attack, the Hobeika troops had had a long session of "meditation", involving a lot of drugs - as the practise was.

Having all this knowledge of unmanned vehicles of war - land and air - makes one wonder, what kind of a stages will the future battles be, at least for the human soldiers? Obviously something "stronger than man" will then be mandatory, to be able to somehow survive - physically and mentally. And how does this zonked army then behave, against the innocent civilians? We have seen it.

The leading Finnish PC-magazine, "Tietokone", in its Oct. 2007 -issue had also a solemn article about these killing robots, "Robots make war".

Quote: "The most critical factor is the ability of the machine to justify the legitimacy of the target. The solution has been proposed, that the machine would aim its firepower into a weapon. HUMAN CASUALTIES WOULD ONLY BE SIDE DEFEATS. (The U.S.) army is also funding a project, which tries to create a conscience for these robot fighters, that they would be able to do ethical decisions. Enmity is however a political concept, which is hard to translate into machine code".

Having said all this, it seems to me, that in the future battles there will be robot-like robots and man-like "robots". Once again we can clearly see, comparing the present plans to the prophecies of Joel 2 and Revelation 9, that the insanity of man has now brought the world on the edge of Armageddon. It is only a question of time now.

"For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon." (Rev. 16:14-16)

"Flee from the wrath to come" (Matt. 3:7). "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:31)

What did Joel and John see? PDF Print E-mail

There are some interesting connections between Joel 2. (~ 800 B.C.) and Revelation 9. (~96 A.D.).

Joel 2:7-19: "They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief."

Kaarlo O. Syväntö, known Finnish scholar and professional in Hebrew told already in the 70's: "When we study this passage carefully, it shows that in these battles, machine-like men, robots, are used!"

The Finnish Bible uses subtitles, and this particular passage starts with "Plague of Locusts". Some commentators have understood these rumbling hosts mentioned in Joel as being tanks with flame throwers - and some have even seen helicopters in them; "Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap". With a tank it is possible to penetrate many places - but leaping on the tops of the mountains is a different case. On the other hand, the helicopters of today are somewhat flying tanks, that can "jump". However, in Joel's time, nothing but birds were flying.

But what is interesting is the fact, that these invaders are compared to locusts - not horses - thus some smaller things are in the picture. In Rev. 9, from the bottomless pit, hosts of this kind arose; if it is a host of helicopters, the bottomless pit is strange a hangar.

Have you ever heard about a thing called SUGV? A Russian website gives a very good picture of it. Which insect comes immediately in mind?

Let's read Joel again - and try to look at the view with Joel's eyes: if Joel indeed saw unmanned vehicles, war robots, which at their largest fit under your arm and smallest are as big as butterflies, isn't the Bible awesome in its details: "Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array" (verse 5).

That SUGV- war robot has chain tracks and armory. "Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded" (SUGV's are remote controlled, are "afraid of nothing" and can survive even with heavy explosions). And, "They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses (SUGV can even climb stairs); they shall enter in at the windows like a thief ".

Quote: "But soldiers in the future, the Army hopes, will be able to pull SUGVs from their backpacks and drop the robots through the windows of buildings where enemies may be hiding ... Robot vision systems have serious limitations, and the risk that a robot might kill an innocent civilian is too great, said iRobot CEO Colin Angle. But Angle did not rule out the eventual use of weapons on robots, and noted that Raytheon is developing a targeting system for the SUGV. "We're not using these robots to hand out flowers," Angle said."

Bruce Cottrill said well: "That such robots could be in use (in these end time events) is certainly not far fetched, as even air drones are being used now- all just applications of available technology. I'm sorry, but I have nothing to offer otherwise, but in the event, their use will certainly be of limited duration, as far as the future of mankind - "we look for a new heaven and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness", and I don't expect to be living on it, but rather "over it", and enjoying the harmony, harmlessness and sinlessness of the new universe, which our Lord Jesus will have rendered up to the Father for evermore."

William MacDonald comments Joel 2:1-11 well: "The people are called to battle by a trumpet sounding the alarm, for the day of the Lord... is at hand. The immediate reference was to the Babylonian captivity, but the complete fulfillment is still future. Before the invaders come, the land of Judah is like the Garden of Eden; afterwards it is a desolate wilderness. The comparison of the locusts to swift steeds, climbing the wall like men of war marching in formation, entering everywhere like a thief and blackening the skies with their immense numbers, constitutes some of the most graphic, poetic description in the prophets. This unendurable invasion is all at the beck and call of the Lord, whose camp is very great".

Even in the end of Revelation, after all the horrible judgments have fallen upon the wicked, the Lord is still not forcing anything: "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." (Rev. 22:11)

For, "The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD." (Proverbs 19:3)

Katyushas fired on Israel from Lebanon PDF Print E-mail

As preparations are made for US President Bush's arrival in the Middle East tomorrow for an 8 day diplomatic tour, it seems Iranian elements are doing their best to cause chaos in the region. Last night two Katyusha rockets were fired from southern Lebanon into the town of Shlomi, causing damage to a house and lamppost. Nobody was hurt in the attack. Residents of the town had thought the noise of the rockets exploding was caused by a thunder storm, and so no alarm was raised. A previously unknown terrorist organization calling itself the "Bader Battalions of Jihad" claimed responsibility for the attack. During the Second Lebanon war, hundreds of Katyusha rockets rained down on northern Israel on a daily basis. The Katyushas have a much longer range than the Kassam rockets manufactured by Hamas, are more accurate and can contain over twice as much explosives.

Quote: "Israel Police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld confirmed that the rockets were fired into Israel from Lebanon but did not say where the missile parts may have been produced. A similar rocket was fired from northern Gaza at Ashkelon last Thursday, the fifth Katyusha to be launched at the southern coastal city in recent years. IDF sources said that the Katyusha was apparently Iranian-made.

The Israeli government has stated they are holding Hizbullah responsible for the incident. Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak has said Israel does not intend to change the status quo in southern Lebanon. It is believed that despite the UN presence in the country, Hizbullah has been able to rebuild its infrastructure south of the Litani river, and has restocked its weapon cache with the help of Syria and Iran. Hamas also announced that they targeted Israeli ships stationed off the coast of Gaza today. And yesterday it was revealed that Iranian boats operating in the Straits of Hormuz had threatened the US fleet that they would carry out a terrorist attack. The Iranian vessels later withdrew.

Quote: "Cosgriff said the incident occurred at about 8:00 am local time Sunday as Navy cruiser USS Port Royal, destroyer USS Hopper and frigate USS Ingraham were on their way into the Persian Gulf and passing through the strait - a major oil shipping route. Five small boats began charging the US ships, dropping box-like objects in the water in front of one of the ships and forcing the US ships to take evasive manoeuvres, said Cosgriff, commander of the 5th Fleet and of naval forces in the US Central Command region. The Iranian boats came to less than 500 yards from the US formation and at one point broke into two groups, one group going to one side and the other to the others side of the Americans. Officials said there were no injuries. ''At one point during this encounter ... the ships received a radio call that was threatening in nature, to the effect that they were closing (in on) our ships and that the ships would explode - the US ships would explode,'' Cosgriff said.

One of the goals of President Bush's visit to the region is to strengthen moderate states and to isolate Iran further for failing to halt its Uranium enrichment programme. Perhaps these latest incidents are intended to be an Iranian show of strength, reminding Israel and the US that they still possess the power to make things very difficult for them in the Middle East. The Bible indicates that Iran will be one of the nations that will invade Israel during the war of Ezekiel 38-39. And as the nation continues to develop its nuclear programme and calls for the destruction of the Jewish state, there is no doubt that Iran will play a big part in the fulfilment of this prophecy.

Ezekiel 38:4-6
And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts [of armour, even] a great company [with] bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia (Iran), Ethiopia (Sudan), and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer (Turkey), and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: [and] many people with thee.

Iran is developing nuclear missiles capable of reaching beyond its enemies in the Middle East to Europe, President George Bush will be warned when he visits Israel and the Palestinian territories for the first time since entering the White House.

A senior Israeli cabinet minister has told The Sunday Telegraph that his government is convinced Iran is intent on becoming the first Muslim superpower, with weapons capable of striking not only at Israel but also Egypt, Libya, Saudi Arabia as well as Greece and other parts of south-eastern Europe. The Israeli government is furious about the recent US intelligence assessment which concluded that Iran had suspended its nuclear weapons programme in 2003, and hopes to convince the American leader that work is continuing on a bomb that poses a widespread threat. In an exclusive interview, Avi Dichter, the Israeli minister of public security, warned that Iran was developing missiles with a range of more than 1,250 miles. "Iran is a big, strong rich country, and that competition in leading the Muslim world is well-known to all Arab and Muslim countries," he said. "Once you can reach with your missile double the distance between Iran and Israel, it means there is some farther target. Is it Egypt? Libya? Saudi Arabia? A European country?"

The Israeli intelligence community insists there is no proof that Iran has abandoned its weapons programme indefinitely. Mr Dichter said it was working to develop missiles with a range that suggested ambitions beyond threatening Israel. He said Israeli officials would warn Mr Bush that failing to take action would have serious consequences beyond the Middle East, where Iran was funding groups, including Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza. The Sunday Telegraph revealed last year how Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, were spending billions of pounds on upgrading their armed forces to contain the growing threat from Iran.

Mr Bush, who is due to arrive on Wednesday, hopes to make progress on the Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations launched at the Annapolis summit in Maryland in late November. But talks have made little or no progress since, with Israeli officials accusing the Palestinians of not doing enough to dismantle militant groups. Instead, Israel has prepared a long list of concerns for Mr Bush, including those over the US intelligence estimate and the need for peace talks with Syria. Mr Dichter said Israel wanted to bring Syria out of the Iranian "axis" of influence towards a peace treaty, which would mirror Israel's 1979 peace agreement with Egypt. Peace with Syria would reduce Hezbollah's influence, force Hamas's leader-in-exile Khaled Meshaal, who now lives in Damascus, to relocate, and improve Israel's image and standing in the Arab world.

Mr Bush is expected to spend two to three days meeting separately with Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian authority president, and Ehud Olmert, the Israeli prime minister, before going to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states. Mr Dichter said, however, that there was almost no hope of an Israeli-Palestinian peace accord this year, and that a major operation against Hamas and other Islamist groups in Gaza would eventually be needed. He added that the Palestinian authority's loss of Gaza to Hamas in June showed it was not ready to take full control of security in an eventual state, and that Gaza must be brought back under control before a Palestinian state is created. The Palestinian authority has deployed hundreds of extra troops in Nablus and Bethlehem as the start of a crackdown on militant groups, and Mr Dichter's Palestinian counterpart, the interior minister Abdel-Razek al-Yahya, said last week it had dismantled the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, a violent Fatah offshoot. Palestinians also argue, however, that their efforts to crack down on militant groups are hampered by Israel's refusal to permit them to be properly equipped.
