King Abdullah II of Jordan has called on China to increase its involvement in the Middle East in an effort to bring peace to the region. His comments came as Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni was in Beijing to lobby the Communist government to strengthen sanctions on Iran over its nuclear programme. Quote: ""China can play an important role in supporting this process both as a world power and respected and trusted Asian neighbour," said the King, on a visit to mark 30 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries. "As a permanent member of the United Nations (Security Council) and a country that has good relations with all parties in our region, China's role is, I believe, destined to increase in the coming period," he said in a speech at Peking University. China's role is indeed destined to increase in the coming period. China enjoys good relations with all parties in the Middle East at present, but according to Scripture that will change. Following the failure of the peace process in the Middle East, and following the outbreak of war, the Kings of the East (or "sun-rising") are prophesied to march on Israel. The Euphrates river will be dried up, allowing their armies to cross unhindered into the Holy Land. Looking at a map of the Middle East, the Euphrates river acts as a land barrier between east and west, protecting Israel from invasion from states such as Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and China. Turkey is planning to build around 22 dams on the Euphrates. Syria relies heavily on the Euphrates for generating electricity, and frequently experiences power blackouts when the water level runs low. Revelation 16:12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs [come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. The army that the Apostle John sees in the tribulation period numbers some 200 million men. Presently the only nation capable of mustering such a force would be China, and this causes many Christians to believe that China may have a big part to play in the end time scenario. Revelation 9:13-18 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen [were] two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses [were] as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. Source Reuters, Bible Study |

The letters, according to Iranian sources, have been posted to Jewish families in Tehran (where the community numbers some 13,000), Isfahan (under 2,000) and Shiraz (some 4,000). They are captioned: Danger! Danger! Danger! and tell recipients to try and reach the West with all possible speed. Iranian Jews like the rest of the population face grave danger from impending events, the anonymous writers warn. |

Just recently we are seeing a Middle East on the brink of exploding. - Hamas now controls Gaza - Missiles being fired from Gaza just about daily. - Ahmadinejad is still calling for the destruction of Israel. - Syria has armed itself to the teeth for war with Israel. - Israel has training to attack Syria. - Isreal destroyed a nuclear reactor being built in Syria that can produce weapons grade material. It is pretty bleak with a battle of biblical proportions brewing. Click here to read what Israel has to say |

Egypt has signed a treaty with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), becoming the second Middle Eastern nation following Israel to sign such a pact. According to a senior NATO official, other Middle Eastern countries are expected to follow suit. The treaty was signed at the NATO headquarters in Brussels. Details on the agreement have not yet been released, but it is expected that Egypt could agree to a NATO force being stationed along the Gaza border. Quote: "According to NATO sources, the treaty entitles Egypt the right to cooperate with the organization on issues of border control, the war on terror, the exchange of intelligence, and the stabilizing of sensitive areas. Sources pointed out that no individual agreement had been reached regarding the breached Egypt-Gaza border, but added that NATO may aid in closing the border down the road. NATO is a transatlantic defence organization, which was set up to protect Western countries from the threat of a Soviet nuclear strike during the height of the Cold War. All NATO members consider an attack on any one member to be an attack on them all, thus providing a deterrent to the outbreak of war. As the Cold War ended following the fall of the Soviet Union, the need for NATO also diminished. It was Javier Solana, the Secretary General of NATO from 1995 to 1999, who was able to turn the organization around by changing its mode of operation, from purely that of a defence organization to one that could intervene in trouble spots anywhere in the world. Israeli Vice Premier Haim Ramon recently published his plans for the division of Jerusalem, which include the stationing of a NATO-like force in the region to help keep the peace. With no solution readily apparent to the situation in the Gaza Strip, and with the threat of war arising from the situation in Iran and Syria, it seems Egypt and other Middle Eastern states may be taking precautions in the event that things get out of hand. As we can see with today's news, Middle Eastern states including Israel are increasingly turning to outside help in matters of national security. We have an international peace conference in November, open talk of the division of Jerusalem, the possibility of a strike on Iranian nuclear facilities in the not too distant future, and European nations becoming more involved in the security of the region. All we need now is a man to bring it all together. Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. While the Bush Administration pours millions of US taxpayers’ dollars into the Palestinian Authority in a vain hope that that regime will ever build and govern a viable state-like entity, the Palestinian Authority is busy celebrating the victories of America’s enemies. As an American I know how blind our government has made the general population. It is no surprise to me that other countries celebrate destruction against us. But so many here are clueless as to what the world is really thinking. Our news outlets deliberately withhold information from us that does not fit in with their own liberal agenda. I pray that Americans will have their eyes open and their minds clear to what is going on. I also pray that non-believers will be drawn to Yeshua and gain wisdom during these end times before it's too late. |
