The coming of the Lord may sound terrifying the way it is described in the Bible but the bad news is for the unsaved, those who have rejected Christ and God. The coming of our Lord is one of the biggest hope of a believer. We all shall be caught up in the twinkling of an eye and shall reign with Christ forever. The only way one can be sure of going with Christ is by accepting now the grace of God through His Son Jesus Christ. There is still room, please do not put off your decision of accepting Christ and having a personal relationship with Him. Rejoice for our redemption draweth nigh!

1st Kings 18:27-29
And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them. And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.

On August the 22nd, Blossom Goodchild - a 'direct voice channelling medium', made the startling prediction that an alien race calling themselves the Federation of Light was about to manifest their presence to mankind in such a way as to provide incontrovertible proof that we are not alone in the universe. The Federation of Light revealed to Blossom Goodchild that one of their ships would appear in the southern skies of our planet for 'three of our twenty-four hour periods', enabling the press to capture the UFO on camera for all the world to see. This dramatic event was to pave the way for full disclosure by world governments of the existence of extra-terrestrials and permit the Federation of Light to intervene on our behalf in order to save mankind from an unspecified time of great trouble ahead. The ship was to appear on the 14th of October, 2008 but until now there hasn't been so much as a whisper from the Federation of Light. Perhaps they have forgotten to disengage their cloaking device? Or maybe they took a wrong turn after passing Andromeda? Or perhaps they now believe Earth is a lost cause? We have yet to hear from Blossom Goodchild as to why the Federation of Light decided not to show up this time.

In reality Blossom's false prophecy reveals to us the startling truth, that the beings she is in contact with do not have the power to manifest themselves in this fashion any more than 'Baal' had the power to burn up the sacrifice that his prophets made upon the altar of stone. The prophets of Baal "prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice", but "there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded". Blossom Goodchild has predicted that her 'gods' would appear in the skies above Alabama to save the human race, but there is no sign of any UFO or Federation of Light. What I would say to Blossom Goodchild would be what Elijah said to the prophets of Baal, "the God that answers by fire, let Him be God", 1st Kings 18:24. The 'aliens' broke their promise. They haven't come to save you! They have let you down. But there is One who is coming to save us. He is the God that cannot lie (Titus 1:2). God promised at the beginning of creation that He would send One to deliver mankind from the curse (Genesis 3:15). Four thousand years passed, but He came. And His first coming is one of the most well established facts in history. So you can see, two thousand years is a comparatively short time to wait for His return. And that period of two thousand years is now coming to a close. Are you ready to meet Him? Turn away from your sins and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation today. Don't put your trust in aliens or men. Put your trust in Jesus Christ for salvation today. He is the only One that can be trusted, for He is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved (Acts 16:31). 

The sixth annual International Conference on Jerusalem has called on Arab and Islamic governments to act now to defend Jerusalem and save the Al-Aqsa mosque, and warned that current events in the Middle East mean there are only a few years in which to achieve this objective. The conference, which was convened in the Gulf state of Qatar, was attended by politicians, religious leaders, business men and scholars from around the world. Its leaders issued a statement at the conclusion of the conference, urging attendees to "maintain a high level of awareness and watchfulness in order to stand up to the threats posed before the holy Islamic and Christian sites, especially Al-Aqsa mosque". They also called on the Islamic world to stop treating the issue of Jerusalem as part of "Palestinian internal affairs".  

Quote: ""We stand before an important phase in the history of the Jerusalem conflict," a statement released by the sixth annual International Conference on Jerusalem said. The conference concluded on Monday in Doha, capital of Qatar. "What takes place now and during the next few years will determine the fate of the Al-Aqsa mosque," the statement continued. "Therefore the public and the Arab and Islamic governments are called upon to act in order to defend Jerusalem."

As you can see, the status Jerusalem and the Temple Mount are central to this whole Middle East peace process. If this issue was just about land then it would have been resolved long ago. Why are the Palestinians so insistent on having Jerusalem for their capital city? As I said recently, the city of Jerusalem isn't mentioned once in the Islamic holy book, the Qur'an. Only one obscure passage is cited as a reference to Jerusalem, where it is said that the prophet Mohammed ascended into heaven from "the farthest mosque". But some Islamic scholars have since doubted whether this could be a reference to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. In fact, before the rebirth of the nation of Israel in 1948, the Islamic Waqf that administer the site once taught that the Noble Sanctuary was the place where the Jewish Temple once stood. From the time that Bible prophecy was fulfilled and Israel was brought back to their land, the status of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount have been contested. And this contention itself is the fulfilment of prophecy, for God states in the prophecy of Zechariah...

Zechariah 12:2-3
Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

As you can see, the day is coming when the status of Jerusalem will no longer be regarded as "Palestinian internal affairs". The whole world will eventually become embroiled in this conflict. And as Arab leaders call on the Islamic world to rise up to defend Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque, there is no doubt "that day" is coming closer. Jesus Christ is coming back. And His feet will stand in "that day" upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east (Zechariah 14:4). And the status of Jerusalem will be settled once and for all. But before that happens, this world must pass through a time of great trouble. But it will be nothing compared to the trouble you will face if you die without your sins forgiven. God loves you so much, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to bear the punishment for your sins, so you could be forgiven. He laid down His life so that you might have eternal life. Jesus Christ has declared that He is the only Way to God (John 14:6). Why don't you trust in Him for salvation today.

We all know the denial story of Peter. We may think Peter was a coward the time when he denied Jesus but Peter did die for Jesus. Paul was ready all the time to go through tribulations and even die for the name of the Lord Jesus. How do you feel about going through persecutions and even dying for Jesus? Are you ready? Well, I am. We Christians have the hope given to us by Jesus and no trials nor tribulations can separate us from the love of Jesus. He is with us whether we live or die so why should we be afraid? Let us face the world boldly and stand by the truth even if we have to die for Jesus.
