I have installed a new module which will allow people to have news emailed directly to their computers. If you have registered on the website using the form provided on the front page, you will be able to subscribe to the news and articles sections. Click on the "get news via email" link, and enter your email address and which sections you would like to receive updates for.

You will eventually receive a confirmation email, asking you to verify your subscription. You need to be logged into the site before clicking on the verification link on the email itself. Once your address has been verified, you will receive email updates every two days (this may change).

People who will benefit from this system are those who are still on dialup (like myself), and who cannot spend a large amount of time online. At present, this system only sends individual articles, instead of sending all the articles as one email. I may consider upgrading the system to an improved newsletter system which sends all articles under one email, although this will cost me money. If you think this would be a good idea, please let me know.

This link from my friend Akhtar. A secular humanist organization, which has been granted special status with the United Nations, is considering a proposal which may criminalize the religious upbringing of children by their parents. The Centre for Inquiry, which has been granted a consultative status as a Non-Governmental Organization, has proposed the UN debate the pros and cons of the religious education of children by their parents. Innaiah Narisetti, the chairman for the organization's India Chapter, believes that this religious instruction at an early age is tantamount to child abuse, and that the United Nations should take a firm stand on the issue. Narisetti is seeking for the rights of parents to provide religious instruction to their children to be annulled, and for state governments to take responsibility for educating children in religious instruction.

Quote: ""The time has come to debate the participation of children in religious institutions," continues Narisetti. "While some might see it as a matter better left to parents, the negative influence of religion and its subsequent contribution to child abuse from religious beliefs and practices requires us to ask whether organized religion is an institution that needs limits set on how early it should have access to children."

In Germany there have been a few cases where Christian home-schoolers were forcibly separated from their parents, because they chose to educate their children at home rather than attending the state school. In order to stop what the state believed was child abuse, in my mind they committed the worst child abuse act possible, separating a child from its own family. In the United Kingdom it is legal to educate children at home, largely because as far as I remember, our Queen was home-schooled. But as was stated in the last article on the EU superstate, more and more, state governments are seeking to take control of what ideologies are taught to our youth.

Quote: "American homeschoolers need to be worried, according to a WND report, because the ease with which similar restrictions on free choice could be imposed in the United States. A Democrat Senate and a Democrat president could ratify U.N. treaties such as the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child, or the European Convention on Human Rights, which is an offshoot of the U.S. Universal Declaration of Human Rights. That is the foundation being cited by the German government to ban homeschooling entirely, and to indoctrinate public and private school students into a sexualized, socialist society.

The wisest man that ever lived said, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it", Proverbs 22:6. As Christians we recognize that, and state governments also recognize it. That is why this UN organization is seeking to remove the rights of parents to teach their children. I was saved at the age of four years old, and am glad that my parents chose to teach me in the way I should go. For not to do so, would have been child abuse.

Former Soviet dissident warns of EU dictatorship PDF Print E-mail
Revived Roman Empire

Vladimir Bukovsky, a former dissident of the Soviet Union, has warned that the EU is fast becoming a federal dictatorship, and that it must be destroyed before it is too late. He made the comments during a speaking engagement at Brussels last week, at a Polish restaurant opposite the European Parliament. After the collapse of the USSR, Bukovsky was able to gain access to classified information on the communist bloc. He copied many of these documents using a handheld scanner, and smuggled them out of the Soviet Politburo and Central Committee archives. He believes these documents confirm that the European Union project is destined to become a federal superstate, through the abolishment of nation states and the establishment of a new socialist superstate in their place.

Quote: "In January of 1989, for example, a delegation of the Trilateral Commission came to see Gorbachev. It included [former Japanese Prime Minister Yasuhiro] Nakasone, [former French President Valéry] Giscard d’Estaing, [American banker David] Rockefeller and [former US Secretary of State Henry] Kissinger. They had a very nice conversation where they tried to explain to Gorbachev that Soviet Russia had to integrate into the financial institutions of the world, such as Gatt, the IMF and the World Bank. In the middle of it Giscard d’Estaing suddenly takes the floor and says: "Mr President, I cannot tell you exactly when it will happen - probably within 15 years - but Europe is going to be a federal state and you have to prepare yourself for that. You have to work out with us, and the European leaders, how you would react to that, how would you allow the other East European countries to interact with it or how to become a part of it, you have to be prepared."

As Vladimir Bukovsky states, Giscard d'Estaing reportedly made these comments well before the Maastricht Treaty was written. Maastricht brought about the creation of the European Union by linking the political and monetary systems of Europe. Former French President and freemason, Giscard d'Estaing, also ended up becoming the very person that authored the EU Constitution. Bukovsky believes the institutions that exist within the European Union are a mirror image of those of the former Soviet Union's. He points to the European Commission fulfilling the same job of the Soviet Politburo, the European Parliament's function is the same as that of the Supreme Soviet, and the massive amount of European regulations remind him of Gosplan, which regulated the Soviet economy. Bukovsky also expressed his concern over increasing European controls, with the Commission pressing state governments to pass laws on hate speech and legalize homosexuality. To sum it all up Bukovsky believes Europe is heading for a collapse, just as the Soviet Union did over a decade ago.

The Bible states that there will be a total of seven world empires that will rule over the nation of Israel. According to Daniel's prophecy they are Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome and a Revived Roman Empire. All of these empires ruled over the nation of Israel. It is extremely interesting, that what we know now as the European Union, and the Jewish state, were both formed in 1948. On the March 17th 1948, the Treaty of Brussels was signed establishing the Western European Union. On May 14th 1948, Israel became a nation. In the Bible, world empires are viewed by men as objects of worship (Nebuchadnezzar's image - Daniel 2:32-33, Babylon the Great - Revelation 18), while spiritually God sees them as evil beasts that devour the earth (Daniel 7:7, Revelation 17). Daniel states that this last great empire, the Revived Roman Empire (or European Union) will devour the whole earth (Daniel 7:23). I believe Bukovsky is wrong, for I do not believe we will be able to destroy the European Union. For the prophecy of Daniel also states that this empire is to last up until the return of Christ to the earth. For Daniel says that "in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom". Praise God, that as we are now seeing the emergence of the European Union on the world stage, that means the establishment of God's kingdom upon earth must be near.

Daniel 2:44
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, [but] it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, now confirmed as Quartet's new envoy to the Middle East. As we all now know, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has become the Quartet's new Special Envoy to the Middle East. Regarding his new position, Tony Blair had this to say in the House of Commons at the announcement of his departure...

Quote: "Mr Blair told MPs: "The absolute priority is to try to give effect to what is now the consensus across the international community - that the only way of bringing stability and peace to the Middle East is a two-state solution."

As a Christian, the above statement makes me particularly sad. Tony Blair has said that he will be working towards a two-state solution, which we know according to Scripture, will bring about the division of God's land during the tribulation period and result in a time of great tribulation for the nation of Israel. This of course, is all according to God's ultimate plan. But what makes me particularly sad is a former Prime Minister, who claims to be a Christian, making such a statement. And this is also a personal issue for me, for I have in the past emailed and posted letters to Tony Blair on this very issue, pleading with him to work towards peace in the Middle East, and not to divide God's land.

Letter 1 - emailed 11/04/05

Letter 2 - posted 25/11/05

At the time of writing, I had no idea the Prime Minister would finish his career and head to the Middle East as a Special Envoy for peace. Although I didn't receive any reply or notification from Downing Street that they received my letters, I hope and pray that Tony Blair had opportunity to read them, and to hear his need of salvation if he is not saved.

Yadlin: "Gaza" will happen in Judea and Samaria too PDF Print E-mail
Dividing the land

Israel's Chief of Military Intelligence, General Amos Yadlin, addressed the Jewish Agency on Monday, and expressed his view that the Jewish state should not withdraw from Judea and Samaria. Yadlin said he believed what happened in the Gaza Strip earlier this month would be repeated in Judea and Samaria, if Israel ever disengaged from that territory. He warned that a peace agreement with the Palestinian Authority was not in Israel's best interests. Regarding the Iranian threat, Yadlin stated that he believed Israel had no need to fear a nuclear Iran, as Israel was "strong enough to handle any danger".

Quote: ""Hamas does not want peace with Israel," he pointed out. "It is continuing its terrorist activities, and moderate Palestinians are unable to do anything about [the situation], even though they want peace." Yadlin added that he does not believe a political agreement with the PA is in Israel's best interest. "If Israel withdraws from the West Bank," he warned, "what happened in Gaza will happen there."

This news comes as Israeli Prime Minister Olmert boasts that he has created the prospect of peace from the overthrow of Fatah in the Gaza Strip. During his summit in Egypt with Palestinian, Jordanian and Egyptian representatives, the Israeli Prime Minister promised to release 250 Fatah prisoners from jail as part of a gesture to the maligned President Abbas. He also released over $350 million in tax revenues to help bolster the Palestinian Authority government.

Quote: ""Within eight days Olmert has managed to turn the downfall of Fatah in the Gaza Strip into an opportunity for peace. He's got the backing of the United States, the Quartet and now the moderate Arab states as well," said a senior aide to the prime minister after the summit.

Some Israeli politicians criticized the move, claiming it will do nothing to strengthen Abbas, and will make Israel's security situation worse. And living in a state which has had its own share of prisoner release schemes, courtesy of former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, I can understand that view completely. The Bible states that during the tribulation period, the situation in Judea will grow much worse. The Lord said of it, that then there would be "great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be", Matthew 24:21. We are not told the exact circumstances of what brings this about. But as the international community presses Israel to divide God's land, and Islamic extremism continues to fester in Gaza and other regions, it seems the situation can only grow worse.

Psalm 2:1-6
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying], Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
