It seems history is destined to repeat itself once again. Around 3500 years ago, Israeli spies brought back an evil report of the good land that God had promised to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey. Rather than trusting God, the children of Israel believed the words of men who said, this is a land that devours its inhabitants...

Numbers 13:32-33
And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, [is] a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it [are] men of a great stature. And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, [which come] of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

Today Israeli Vice Premier Haim Ramon said words to a similar effect, stating, "In my eyes, the occupation of the territories threatens our very existence, our legitimacy and our international standing". To the Israeli government, the lands of Judea, Samaria, Gaza and the Golan are lands that devour their inhabitants. Rather than trusting in the promises of God, and the great victory God gave Israel in 1967, the nation is turning its eyes towards the evil report being propagated by the international community. In July 2005, Israel forcibly evicted over 9000 of its own people from Gaza, many of whom had been living there from before the state's formation in 1948. Today many of those people are still homeless and unemployed, after having worked in what was one of the most productive areas of Israel. Now the Israeli government is considering relocating 240,000 people living in Judea and Samaria - "ethnic cleansing" by another name, in an effort to "legitimise" the state of Israel in the eyes of the world. Israel had legitimacy in 1967 when it defeated the armies of six Arab nations that were bent on its destruction. Today it is planning to hand legitimacy to a terrorist organization trying to do the same. President Abbas of the Palestinian Authority has formulated a new peace document, that he hopes can be implemented within a year.

Quote: "Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's platform for the new PA government includes the attainment of an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement consisting of Jerusalem as the capital of both states and the honouring of past agreements reached with Israel, it was reported Friday. Army Radio said that Abbas and PA Prime Minster Salaam Fayad showed the new Palestinian document to Meretz Chairman Yossi Beilin during their meeting in Ramallah the previous day. "It concerns peace with Israel and honouring past agreement wit Israel," confirmed the Meretz chairman.

You can't have a city as a joint capital that is referred to as the "eternal, undivided capital of Israel". The Palestinians took control of the Gaza Strip two years ago. Today the only Jews in that land are being held hostage by Hamas. The Palestinian Authority claims East Jerusalem as its own, and the Bible predicts the same fate for that city as what happened in Gaza.

Zechariah 14:2
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Israel's leaders are so spiritually blind, they cannot see this situation unfolding right before their eyes. Sadly many of those claiming to be Christians are also blind to this fact, having been brought up on a diet of replacement theology and amillennialism. The nation of Israel will soon face a time of great trouble. But those who have trusted in Christ have not been "appointed to wrath, but to obtain (physical) salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ", 1st Thessalonians 5:9. When Christ comes, will you go to be with Him, or will you be left behind to face the wrath of a righteous God? Trust in Christ for salvation today.

American military sources say the gigantic new bunker-blaster is designed to hit fortified underground targets such as Iran’s uranium-enrichment facility at Natanz.

It will be capable of drilling through many meters of earth or concrete. When it falls from a high altitude, the MOP – composed of 20% explosives, 80% hardened metal - will punch a hole in the toughest protective casing before exploding in depth. It is GPS guided.

DEBKAfile’s military sources reveal that Israel’s RAFAEL has upgraded its US-made SPICE air-to-ground missile, adding a stand-off precision guidance kit.

This kit has been cleared for the US-made BLU-109 penetrator warhead, carried by Israeli warplanes, which is rated one of the top-line US weapons capable of hitting fortified targets from the air or warship.

Its effective drop range has been extended from 60km to 90km enabling Israeli warplanes to release the missile to target from outside enemy territory without being exposed to air defense fire.

The Israel-made PGM cannot be jammed since it does not depend on coordinates which can be falsified. After the targets are loaded into the bomb’s computer and dropped, it navigates and guides itself without pilot intervention and cannot therefore be diverted in mid-flight.

The unveiling of these super-weapons comes shortly after satellite pictures showed new digging efforts in the mountains just outside Iran’s Natanz facility. Analysts worldwide believe a tunnel complex is under development.

My friend Nicole sent me an email today about the VeriChip corporation. As many of you know, this corporation has come under attack from conservative Christians who believe their product may be a precursor to the Mark of the Beast as described in the book of Revelation.

The VeriChip consists of a small RFID chip, radio antenna and capacitor encased in a glass capsule, which is inserted by a syringe into the upper forearm of an individual. The VeriChip can be used for everything from asset tracking, security and identification purposes and financial transactions. One such place that use the chip for this purpose is the Baja Beach Club in Spain, which has its VIP members chipped, enabling them to pay for their bills without the need for carrying cash of cheques. The VeriChip corporation has recently come under fire for a new programme in which elderly Alzheimer patients are being implanted. Some have slammed the targeting of the young and elderly, who are unable to make a conscious decision as to whether they want to have these chips embedded on their bodies. The head of VeriChip has also offered to implant illegal immigrants to the United States, and is also in discussions with the government to replace military dog tags with the chip.

Many Christians believe the targeting of these vulnerable groups will eventually lead to a time when many groups of people will be chipped for one reason or another, and the general public will inevitably face financial and political pressure to do the same, whether it's admitted or not. I'm not sure the Bible describes a situation in which the Mark is enforced, rather Revelation says the False Prophet "causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark". I think the case will be made by the governments for the adoption of the Mark, and that those who don't receive it will face extreme financial hardship for they will not be able to buy or sell without it (Revelation 13:16-18).

News that the company is changing its name from VeriChip corporation to "Xmark" ought to send alarm bells ringing in the ears of many.

The Greek translation of the word "mark" mentioned in Revelation 13 is "charagma", and it's literal interpretation means an "incision" or a "cutting". This is how Strong's concordance renders it...

This reveals to us how the Mark of the Beast will be applied, though an incision or injection into the flesh. And this is exactly how RFID chips are implanted, through a cutting in the skin. As you can also see, the first letter of the word "charagma" is also the letter X or "Chi" in the Greek. So it seems the new name "Xmark" is quite intriguing, for its Greek translation identifies it closely with the book of Revelation.

The Bible also makes it clear, those who haven't received Christ as Saviour will receive the Antichrist during the tribulation period (Revelation 17:8). And the Bible states that those who receive the mark will seal their eternal destruction in the lake of fire. Turn to Christ for salvation today.
